Valeria Biasi

Let me be your sister in town!

I can't wait of taking you to my favorite spots for seeing, eating, drinking and delving into the city soul.

After 25+ years spent with independent, curious travelers I know how to connect deeply and quickly.

I was born and raised in Verona, an adorable, romantic, cozy Italian city and I have seen it changing over time under my eyes!

Roman Archaeology is my background and I am listed in the prestigious Rick Steves Italy guidebook.

My formation

I am a very, very local guide! My family has been Veronese for many generations.

Latin, Ancient Greek, history, art and literature- have been my favorite subjects since high school.

I graduated in Roman Archeology at the University of Padua.

I attended a master program in Museology and Museography at the Musei Civici in Venice and a post-graduate program in Art techniques at the Accademia di Brera in Milan.

As a little kid, I travelled Europe far and wide with my father: I owe him my interest in new places and people and my endless intellectual curiosity.

As a young girl, my dream was very precise: I would communicate culture.

I have been a licensed tour guide of Verona and its heritage since 1999 and I am listed in Rick Steves Italy guidebook.

I adore good architecture and I am an avid podcast listener.

Handcrafting is my joyful place, I love interior design and my new gravel bike. I am a level 1 wine sommelier.

And I am mother of 3 globe-trotters.

What I suggest

Like a lasagna (or like a tiramisù, if you have a sweet tooth) Verona is multi-layered: The Roman remains, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance up to… today!

On my tours we make these layers (and their stories) come to life and walking in the city becomes immediately more meaningful!

We enjoy colors and textures of the city architecture, we listen to the sounds of every-day life and we feel the feel of the living city.

Verona is quintessentially Italian: in the easy and compact size, in the look, in her majestic Roman heritage, in her subdued but friendly atmosphere.

My mission is to take my travelers by hand and go with them beyond the surface, delving as much as possible into the soul of the city itself.

I also like to explore the surroundings of the city and I consider it a privilege to be with my travelers

…at a winery in the harvest time

…on lake Garda at sunset

…sitting at a restaurant where locals go for lunch on a weekday!

2000 years of history connect us to the Adige river, to the various activities that needed water and driving force and which made Verona wealthy.
