Lorella Mostacchi

My Approach

My guiding style is personal. I facilitate friendships, knowledge and genuine affection for  my city, region and culture. I design visits that immerse my guests in local culture and provide them with the intimate knowledge that transcend beyond simple sightseeing. Offering far more than a history lesson, travelers will not simply learn what happened in a place 1500 years ago, but rather be embedded in the consequence of that history, privy to the charms and nuance of how life is lived today bringing to life lands unknown and deepening the connection between traveler and place. To create a sense of place that is to be unique and different to each person visiting Verona and its Land.

A Veronese at Heart

I am “Veronese” by adoption. I was born in Zurich - Switzerland, where I spent my first years.

I started working for travel agencies during my university years in Padua, I studied, trained and as a tour leader traveled Europe, Morocco (glorious years!), Singapore and other countries, experiencing very different cultural approaches. I became certified tour manager and have worked for many years for a tour operator based in Garda.  I gained expertise in every aspect connected with delivering tours: organizational details, tour execution, client’s expressed and unexpressed expectations and requests. Eventually, I decided that Verona was MY TOWN and got my certification as local guide of Verona

My expertise: Crafting memorable Experiences

I spent the last 25 years giving tours in this city observing places, locals and colors, researching, discovering meanings, detecting connections among landscapes monuments and people, humbly trying to find  a way to share the rich yarn of Verona cultural heritage in an authentic way.

A never ending journey delving into history, anthropology, architecture, pedagogy, psychology that far from becoming an overwhelming amount of theoretical info I have managed in taking down to earth, interpreting the essence of Verona for my guests. I have decided to use my expertise to serve my guests in a more meaningful way. Now it is all about making each of my tours memorable, being happy myself while giving a tour, bringing happiness to the visitors I meet, throwing an honest light on people and places.

My assets are: the knowledge of Verona cultural heritage along with its surroundings, and a warm, empathetic personality.

Unlocking Verona's Secrets

I am equipped to provide travelers with unique insights into the region of my expertise: Verona, Lake Garda, Valpolicella and Amarone wine region (classical and extended area), Rice growing area of Verona, and Soave and Durello sparkling wine region

The personal touch, the curated tour, the right guiding time (longer than usual), the eye-contact with my guests, the limited number of tours I give,  the human interaction: these are my blueprints.

I enjoy customizing private bespoke tours in Verona and its surroundings for couples, small parties, families, discerning visitors, solo travelers (ladies in particular), corporate clients.

Imagine the difference between a bespoke culinary adventure and a rushed fast-food meal – that's my approach.

Let's Craft Your Verona Adventure

Maybe you would like to arrange a tour around a food experience, or to sea shore from Verona to Garda Lake, to the Amarone wine region? Or from Venice, Bologna Milan to Verona (you only take 1,5  hours to get to Verona from those cities)?  I am happy to arrange private transportation for you:

I also enjoy to design tours for corporate parties. Business travellers regret that they never have the chance to actually see their host city. If you are a company with corporate events taking place in Verona, a light walking tour of Verona is perfect to not just energize your party with light exercise before dinner, but also to inspire them discovering what Verona has to offer.
