Accessible sensory responsible tours

The five senses and the city

Many of our experiences pass through sight, they are quick and often superficial, but they would be more complete and persistent if we took time to pay attention to all our senses. I have chosen a few spots for you, corresponding to different sensory perceptions.

We associate touch with sight, touching the materials of the medieval walls; let’s try to rely on a friend to walk with our eyes closed along a busy street and try to recognize sounds and noises; on the drawbridge and in the courtyard of Castelvecchio we experience that touch does not only pass through the hands; we feel the particular smell of the Adige and of the trees along the shore, we taste a local product.

In short

This tour is suitable for people with disabilities, children and all curious travellers. The route can be decided with the guide, to cater to special needs and specific interests.

Emotions in the heart of Verona

We feel not only with the traditional five senses, but also with the heart. We visit the most famous places of the ancient city such as Piazza Bra with the majestic Arena that inspires marvel, we continue to the lively and picturesque Piazza Erbe where we feel part of the local life, we sneak into an alley and a silent courtyard to learn about its history and at the same time to know ourselves. The city bears traces of the millennial presence of the people who built it, modified and lived in it. There are spaces that make us feel at home, make us happy, others that invite us to rest. We will try together to slow down, lower our voices, and listen to the inner dialogue between the genius loci and our soul.

In short

An emotional tour in the old Verona to try a slow and respectful tourism experience toward both places and local traditions.

The space and us

This tour means to grasp the importance of personal space in relation to the peripersonal and external space. Piazza San Zeno and the Basilica are the two fundamental spots. The open, regular, wide-ranging space of the square can be measured both with gazes and steps. The facade of the church rises showing different shapes such as the rose window, the tympanum, the porch, local materials that are warm to the eye and different to the touch, such as the marble of the griffins and bricks.

The cloister invites us to silence and respect, rules far from us but which remind us of our daily lives; walking along it, one catches the shape of the quadrangular space marked by the columns and arches. The interior of the basilica takes us back to measuring ourselves in relation to size, this time enclosed by walls and a magnificent wooden ceiling. With our arms and our bodies we can measure the pillars and understand how each constituent element of the building is of fundamental importance for its resistance, just as each of us, with its diversity and peculiarities, is fundamental for life and harmony of the family, associative and social nucleus of belonging.

In short

I will take you to one of Verona’s citizens and travellers most loved location, and to experience it in strict relation with yourself.
