A journey from the ancient to the contemporary with our qualified guides

Entering Palazzo Maffei and visiting the precious collection is a unique experience for art lovers, but also for those who want to get to know a true jewel of Verona: the elegant colonnade of the courtyard on the ground floor welcomes the visitor and the beautiful staircase, turning on itself lightly, leads to the first floor. And here the wonder begins, the eye is captured by the refined colour of the walls and then it gets lost in admiring the works on display, ranging from 14th-century craftsmanship to paintings from the 15th to the 18th century. The wonder continues with the ancient and medieval sculptures, and on to modern and contemporary art, in all its countless forms and aspects, from the avant-garde to abstract art, pop art, informal art and site-specific installations.

Here the ancient interacts with the contemporary, the art of the past meets that of the present and creates a pleasant memory in the visitor’s mind

Maffei House Museum has an extraordinary collection, 500 pieces collected over a lifetime and with our guides you will get to know the many lives of the works and the development of many artists: Giorgio De Chirico, Pablo Picasso, Lucio Fontana, Andy Warhol to name but a few.
